Walking the Peaks and Jane Eyre

The second walk we did started from the cottages and walked to the peaks.  You can see the first peak we walked up to the right of the picture.
Unfortunately half way up the second hill the heavens opened ...we are quite used this now and just waited for it to finish.and of course 30 mins later we were in sunshine again.

In  the evening we enjoyed red wine, local cheeses and of course twiglets while watching the BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. This was in preparation of our visit to Pemberley tomorrow...
Lots of Darcy (Colin Firth) admiration on Jo and my part.....Chris not so much...

At the top in the rain.

Chris and Jo talking to their brother, sister and mum. This was the best phone reception we had for a couple of days .... as we haven't phoned home for a long time thought we should make the most of  it.!!

View looking back at the top.
.

In the afternoon we visited Hadden Hall which is where the recent Jane Eyre movie was filmed.

Cheese and Twiglets.
